ICA Grand Opening Block Party

It’s finally here!

The Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU opens to the public on April 21 with a site-wide exhibition, Declaration, and a day-long Block Party showcasing Richmond’s curious-minded culture. Block Party will offer artists, makers, interactive activities, as well as live music, performances, and food. Held outdoors on the Markel Center grounds, Block Party is free and open to the public.

ICA and VCU Painting + Printmaking present a public lecture by artist Tania Bruguera.

About the Artist
Tania Bruguera is a Cuban installation and performance artist. Bruguera lives and works between New York and Havana. Bruguera has participated in numerous international exhibitions. Bruguera received her BFA from the instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, Cuba and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
