Alexander Trivette, a VCU graduate student pursuing a Masters in History, is the Institute for Contemporary (ICA) Art Education Assistant for the summer of 2017. Trivette will conduct research for the Education Department in the months before the museum opens, developing reading lists and study guides for upcoming exhibitions, compiling information about artists and artworks for tour guide training, and assisting with programming for opening events.

In 2016 Trivette graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with majors in history and French and a minor in art. His personal research interests are in 20th-century political history as well as Art Nouveau design. Trivette is pleased to have the chance to be a small part of the ICA and its mission to bring contemporary art to all the people of Richmond.
